A. L. Lloyd sang The Bonny Black Hare accompanied by fiddler Dave Swarbrick in 1965 on the Topic theme album of traditional songs of love and lust. The song is about a young man who meets a girl while hunting for the bonny black hare. They end up having sex in the woods and plan to hunt the hare again the next day.
